Are you looking to fish one of the best trout streams in the world?
The Missouri River below Holter Dam to the town of Cascade is a large tailwater fishery. This prime expanse is shallow and very wadeable. Shallow water shelves and the many braided channels enable the dry fly fisherman to work "pods" of rising trout. The fish are primarily "hard fighting Rainbows", some of the hardest fighting found anywhere. The Rainbows average 14-22 inches. The Brown trout can reach sizes up to 8-10 lbs, with the average size similar to the Rainbows.
We prefer to fish with dry flies. Casting and fishing can be both challenging and rewarding and we are here to help. Come on up to the Missouri River, we will show you an excellent adventure!
